now The Ribbons of Life Foundation. Without your assistance, we would not be able
to reach our accomplishments during these past six years.

Want to know where your money is going?

Your donation to Ribbons of Life Breast Cancer Foundation (“ROL”) means more than endorsing and mailing a check. It provides an opportunity for you to feel connected to your community. That’s because ALL funds stay within Ventura County to assist women, families, and the community as together they attempt to cope with the results of breast cancer.

Our “Keep-the-Money-Local” Campaign provides an opportunity for you to give to a worthy cause that affects every  man, woman and child within your own community.  ROL serves as a bridge in providing specific information and resources to address immediate concerns about breast cancer while also teaching new ways to cope.

Our ROL work is purpose-filled as we assist and educate hundreds through personal hospital and treatment visits;  telephone calls;  emails;  classroom/organization presentations;  public access to a free breast cancer resource library; awarding a person living with breast cancer to continue their education with an annual scholarship to Ventura College;  and a photo quilt project to acknowledge the strength and courage of those who have walked the walk.

ROL’s long term mission is to open Ventura County’s first Breast Cancer Resource Center to work independently with local hospitals, cancer clinics and other health care facilities while serving as a support system and clearinghouse of specific breast cancer information.

No one on our staff is paid. Rather, all our time and contributions go directly to our local breast cancer cause. As volunteer “professionals,” many of us presently live with breast cancer and other cancers or know someone who is reaching out for our help. We believe that together we can make a difference!
