A SCHOLARSHIP FOR LIFE - The Lesley Paarmann Breast Cancer Scholarship is a "living" scholarship available to those living through breast cancer.   This is the FIRST academic scholarship IN THE NATION that encourages women with breast cancer to further their education.  It benefits those who wish to improve their quality of life by focusing on learning new skills to help them, their families, and their community for the rest of their lives.

EDUCATION TO ACTIVELY COPE - The selected recipient receives a $500 scholarship to attend classes in Ventura County.  Our goal is to make it possible for someone to take classes in art, ceramics, computer, language or whatever the recipient chooses, to improve the quality of their life.  Acquiring new skills or following one's academic dreams can be beneficial when living with breast cancer.

WHY LESLEY PAARMANN?
Members of  Ribbons of Life Breast Cancer Foundation voted to name this scholarship after their inspiration, Lesley Paarmann, who lives with breast cancer and has more than surpassed her odds of survival.  (Click on her name to read her story.)

APPLICATIONS are available to those living with breast cancer and who will attend classes  in Ventura County California.  The scholarship is awarded each year.  If you would like to receive an application please contact:
